This role requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy-duty truck components commonly used in towing and recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel tow trucks
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when required
  • Work closely with towing operations to minimize downtime

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (fleet or heavy-duty preferred)
  • 310T (Truck & Coach Technician) OR relevant Red Seal certification is preferred - You are welcome to apply without it, we would like to assess your experience.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and truck systems
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Experience with hydraulic systems (winches, booms, PTOs) is an asset
  • Valid driver's license (DZ/AZ is an asset)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
