About Us

Connect Telecommunications Solutions is a distributor of products for telecommunications networks. We supply the Canadian Telecommunications industry with a wide range of diverse products and solutions to help our customers build their networks from coast to coast. Our goal is to deliver the best products and services to meet the evolving needs of our customers. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead our finance function and support our next phase of growth.

Position Summary

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations including AR/AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian GAAP
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Oversee cash flow management and banking relationships
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors
  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies
  • Support strategic initiatives including pricing, cost analysis, and business case development
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations

Qualifications

  • CPA designation
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in a distribution or telecom-related industry
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00-$112,000.00 per year
