Surrey, British Columbia, Canada Raven Roofing Ltd. Full time

Run the Heartbeat of the Company.

Every great roofing project starts long before a crew steps on a roof.

It starts in the shop — in the systems, the materials, the staging, the craftsmanship, and the organization behind the scenes.

Raven Roofing is hiring a Shop Manager who takes ownership, brings order, builds systems, and runs the shop like a well-oiled machine. If you're the kind of person who walks into a messy shop and immediately starts mapping out a better workflow… you'll thrive here.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

This isn't a "sit back and wait for instructions" job.

You'll run the entire shop operation — the beating heart that keeps the field moving.

Metal Fabrication & Production

  • Fabricate flashings and metal components to Raven's quality standards
  • Manage accuracy, quality, and turnaround timelines

Inventory & Materials

  • Maintain inventory levels, track usage, and forecast needs
  • Receive, organize, and store all incoming materials
  • Prepare and stage job kits so crews hit the ground ready

Tools & Equipment

  • Track tools and equipment across all crews
  • Keep everything maintained, repaired, and in safe working order
  • Oversee loading/unloading of materials, tools, and job packages

Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate deliveries, pickups, returns, and supplier logistics
  • Communicate with PMs, field supervisors, and office support
  • Keep workflow moving without bottlenecks or surprises

Shop Systems & Safety

  • Design and maintain shop layout and workflow
  • Ensure OSHA-level safety standards
  • Keep the shop, yard, and vehicles clean, organized, and inspection-ready

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience in roofing, trades, warehousing, or fabrication
  • Highly organized — everything has a place
  • A hands-on leader, not a bystander
  • Systems-minded — you build processes that people can follow
  • Reliable, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Proud of craftsmanship and the quality of work leaving your shop
  • Safety-focused and consistent

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Raven has built a strong reputation over decades — and the shop is where that reputation starts. When the shop is dialed in, crews work faster, safer, and with more pride. When the shop is sloppy, everything downstream suffers.

As Shop Manager, you set the tone for the entire company. You get to build systems, lead operations, and create the environment where field crews succeed every single day.

WHY RAVEN ROOFING

You're joining a respected, stable roofing company with strong leadership, a loyal team, and real appreciation for people who take ownership. Raven Roofing provides competitive salary, benefits, and RRSP matching, as well as comprehensive training and team support from experienced professionals.

You'll have the authority to improve what's not working, create better systems, and leave your mark on an essential part of the business.

If you want a long-term role where your work genuinely matters — this is it.
