We are a vibrant community pharmacy in beautiful Chemainus, BC with an amazing team and we are looking to add another pharmacist to our team to meet the growing demand of our community We are ideally looking for a Full-Time pharmacist, but we are open to a Part-Time pharmacist if we find the right candidate

The ideal candidate embraces all aspects of community pharmacy care including counselling & advising patients on medications and OTC care, providing vaccinations and medication injections, completing MACS, and providing medication reviews. We are 100% locally owned and operated and we provide a relaxed professional environment with absolutely no quotas or pressure to complete specific services.

Duties:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and safety guidelines
  • Provide expert consultation on medication therapy, including dosage, administration, and potential side effects
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care and ensure timely access to medication
  • Provide Vaccinations and Medication Injections
  • Educate patients on medication usage, potential interactions, and storage instructions
  • Maintain comprehensive records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • Valid BC Pharmacist License in Good Standing with the College
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Injection Certification and Valid First Aid Certification (Or willingness to obtain Injection Certification if not already certified)
  • Community pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the pharmacy and healthcare teams, as well as providing patient education & care
  • Ability to stay current with evolving pharmacy practices and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56.00-$65.00 per hour
