The Flower Spot is looking for full and part-time garden centre employees for the 2026 season. The work will require persons who are physically fit, friendly, comfortable in a retail environment, and have a passion for plants. This is a fast-paced environment, and the job requires lifting of heavy objects, repetitive tasks, and working under pressure.

Our company is a family run retail nursery with a strong culture rooted in integrity, quality products, and exceptional service. We are looking for someone with a passion for plants and people. Your role will be to provide outstanding customer service from initial greeting to final sale

Basic Duties Include:

-Greeting all customers

-Ensure that every customer's experience exceeds their expectation

-Selling plants and helping customers choose plants that are right for their needs

-Loading plants, soils, and fertilizers for customers

-Tidying display tables

-Sweeping and tidying the garden centre throughout the day

-Dead heading and pruning plants as needed

-Other duties include watering, weeding, & restocking

Cashier Positions also include:

-Operating manual cash register

-Accurately handling cash and card transactions

Experience:

- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role is great, but not required

- Knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs, veggie plants, and plant care is a plus

- Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register is preferred for cashier positions

Requirements:

-Able to lift heavy objects (up to 30 pounds)

-Available to work weekends and holidays as needed

-Heat tolerance

-Able to work 8 hour shifts

Starting pay is $19/hour

Work will start the beginning of April and go until early July
