The Supply Chain Lead – Electrical, Electronics & Automation Components oversees sourcing, supplier management, and material planning for all electrical and electronic components used in Vention's automation systems, including sensors, PCBs, harnesses, motors, and control modules. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this leadership role drives the strategic alignment of procurement, inventory, and NPI support with Vention's engineering and manufacturing objectives.
You will lead a team of buyers and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure cost-effective, reliable, and scalable supply chains. This position combines deep category expertise, data-driven decision-making, and supplier development to optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance across the electronics and automation value stream.
- Lead sourcing and procurement for electrical, electronic, and automation components (PCBs, harnesses, sensors, controllers, motors).
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, lead time, and supplier quality performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering on NPI and DFM initiatives to ensure manufacturability, cost, and supply readiness for new products.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, risk assessments, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements to support Vention's growth objectives.
- Oversee ERP/MRP planning processes to ensure accurate material master data, lead times, and inventory visibility.
- Work with Quality and Engineering to manage supplier qualification, PPAP/FAI processes, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor market trends in electronics, automation, and semiconductor industries to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Mentor and develop junior buyers or specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence and professional growth.
