The Opportunity:

This is a perfect part-time role for an experiences Abacus instructor, retiree, or professional passionate about mental math and cognitive development. Earn extra income while making a direct, positive impact—without taking work home We provide all materials and structured lesson plans, so you can focus entirely on delivering exceptional instruction.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach the Best Brains Abacus curriculum to students in a supportive, small-group setting.
  • Guide students through mental math techniques, from foundational bead manipulation to advanced visualization.
  • Foster a fun and encouraging classroom atmosphere that builds speed, accuracy, and confidence.
  • Follow our provided, individualized student learning paths—no lesson planning required.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with center staff to ensure a seamless and positive learning experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary/middle school students.
  • A strong passion for education, mental math, and the cognitive benefits of abacus learning.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A patient, positive attitude and the ability to motivate young learners.
  • Previous experience with abacus instruction is a strong asset, but training on our specific methodology will be provided for the right candidate.
