Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations Support, the Project Manager – Operations is responsible for planning, executing, and implementing strategic projects affecting corporate stores, such as store conversions, openings, and closings, as well as system implementations. This role plays a key role in change management and acts as the operations representative in cross-functional projects involving multiple internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include developing strategies, managing the human aspect of change through communication and training, assessing impact, mitigating risks, and measuring success indicators.
  • Lead complex projects related to store operations, including conversions, openings, and closings.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of systems that have a direct impact on store operations.
  • Lead and guide organizational transitions by planning, implementing, and monitoring change initiatives to ensure smooth adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Represent operations in cross-functional projects involving multiple departments (IT, HR, finance, etc.).
  • Develop change management plans adapted to the reality on the ground, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Identify operational risks and propose concrete solutions to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Effectively communicate project challenges, progress, and results to the teams involved.
  • Influence without direct authority to mobilize teams around common goals.
  • Communication in a union setting may be necessary.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Significant experience in project management in an operational environment, ideally in retail.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with a strong organizational change component.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex and constantly changing environments.
  • Autonomy, rigour, and results-oriented.
  • No direct team management, but strong ability to mobilize and rally stakeholders.
  • Travel may be required. 1 or 2 time a month depending on project all across Canada.
