JOB DUTIES:

  • Design, specify, program and commission automation systems including PLC, VFD, HMI, SCADA, and more. 
  • Test systems in the shop
  • Working in the field to commission systems
  • Working with remote connection devices to troubleshoot and update systems
  • Design, specify and commission. Secure control networks
  • Ensure work environment is safe at all time

REQUIREMENTS:

Automation, Controls & SCADA

  • Hands-on PLC, HMI, and SCADA experience (Schneider Electric required; Rockwell a strong asset)
  • VTScada experience preferred; other platforms a bonus

Networking & Communications

  • Strong understanding of Modbus (TCP preferred) and Ethernet/IP
  • Experience with Schneider remote I/O
  • Ability to configure Layer 2/3 switches and VLANs
  • Familiar with remote access tools (Ewon, VPN, tunneling)

Instrumentation & Field Systems

  • Troubleshoot analog (4–20 mA, 0–10 V) and digital/relay I/O
  • Experience with VFDs (Schneider, Yaskawa, ABB) and system integration
  • Ability to integrate meters, ATS, UPS, and related equipment

Communication & Documentation

  • Strong technical communication in English; French is an asset
  • Clear, consistent documentation skills
