ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a self-starting, creative, and tech-savvy associate who can hit the ground running; a creative thinker with an appetite for learning, and someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work end-to-end on delivering results. We are seeking a Digital Designer who combines graphic design excellence with website design expertise, who thrives at the intersection of creativity, technology, and strategy.
This is a role for a creative thinker, not just a designer
— someone who can bring bold new ideas, elevate our digital presence, and push the boundaries of design across every platform.
THE DETAILS
- Lead and execute exceptional design work across digital and print: websites, social campaigns, digital ads, video, presentations, and event materials.
- Partner with internal teams to conceptualize and evolve brand storytelling through innovative visuals and user experiences.
- Bring a strategic design perspective, introducing new trends, tools, and creative approaches to keep our work ahead of the curve
- Displaying strong attention to detail throughout the production process.
- Working with documented specs and prepping print-ready files as appropriate.
- Execute video and post-production editing (video, animation, and photo retouching) (not required – an asset)
- Ability to plan, work independently, and deliver on multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
WEBSITE DESIGN & MANAGEMENT
- You will be responsible for developing and managing several conference websites accountable to several Conference Managers
- Strong project management skills
- Design, build, and manage WordPress websites — from layout and content updates to custom code using HTML, CSS, and PHP.
- Maintain and uphold all brand standards related to each client
- Oversee SEO and analytics to optimize design impact and user engagement, and report on website statistics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Online portfolio showcasing exceptional design work (video work is an asset).
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects or Premiere Pro is an asset).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Skilled in digital imaging, photo retouching, and visual composition.
- Solid grasp of typography, layout, and design composition.
- Experience with video editing and motion graphics (an asset).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact).
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related professional experience.
- Experience with video editing and motion graphics (an asset).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact).
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
