The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidates will have 5 to 7 years of experience in software development with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure DevOps pipeline creation, along with strong experience in unit testing, integration testing, SQL tuning, .NET framework, and .NET. Additionally, proficiency in a front-end JavaScript framework or library like Angular or React is required.

In this role, you'll build and deliver internal services software that will be used by people throughout the business to support users in accessing information as efficiently as possible. You will use your deep technical knowledge in web application development to create interfaces and tools that are user-friendly and add value to the way we work. You'll work closely with the Technical Project Manager and the Development team on what you build, and will also partner with users across the organization to ensure the end product meets a broad range of needs.

This is a hybrid role, based in the Vancouver, BC area. The ideal candidate will work 1 to 2 days in the Vancouver office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using .NET Framework.
• Build and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the software.
• Optimize SQL databases and perform database tuning to enhance performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular or React.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge, with a focus on new and emerging AI services and trends.
• Work closely with the Project and Development team to align on project goals and deliverables.
• Engage with users across the organization to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring the developed solutions meet their needs.

Who You Are

• Extensive experience with Azure services.
• Strong expertise in unit testing and integration testing.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database tuning and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Hands-on experience with front-end development using Angular or React.
• Experience with AI tools like Copilot and generative AI models like ChatGPT or DALL-E.
• Prior experience in the e-commerce and logistics domain is a significant plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other JavaScript frameworks or libraries such as Vue, Angular, or React.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms and services.
• Experience and interest in using AI models, services, and tools to augment development.

Compensation
The Salary Range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. We offer a comprehensive range of benefits which includes:
