Tactical Security Guard

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a safe environment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not mandatory. The Security Guard will play a vital role in loss prevention and maintaining the integrity of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and loss prevention.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure safety standards are met and report any hazards or damages.
• Support in investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other security breaches by gathering relevant information.

Skills

• A Valid Ontario Security License
• Must have Use of Force certifications
• Prior customer service experience is required.
• Must have Use of Force Certification
• Impeccable grooming and presentation, including uniform
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently and courteously with diverse individuals.
• Superior observational skills.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Must be willing and comfortable to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift

• Security Guard: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Use of Force Certification (required)
• Class G Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (preferred)
