Pharmacy Assistant

Pace Pharmacy is seeking a friendly and experienced individual to join our team as a full-time Pharmacy Assistant. We're a dynamic and dedicated group of professionals, eager to expand and grow our team.

Along with our dispensary, we also feature fully equipped sterile and non-sterile laboratories that cater to patients who require compounded medications. Our fast-paced environment presents unique challenges that require teamwork and collaboration to ensure we meet the needs of our patients. Pace Pharmacy has two locations in Toronto, and this role is based at our Leaside location, 40 Laird Drive. Please review the address to confirm you are able to commute to this location before applying.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a retail pharmacy. Familiarity with Kroll dispensary software is a strong asset. In addition to typical pharmacy assistant duties, you will also be responsible for general and administrative tasks within the dispensary.

Pharmacy Assistant job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring patients' and customers' needs are met
• Communicating with patients and customers in person and via phone and email regarding their prescriptions or orders and payments
• Entering and filling prescription orders in Kroll
• Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Handling cash and credit cards and reconciling day-end
• Scanning and filing hard copies and prescription records
• Assisting with inventory management and placing and receiving orders
• Answering phone calls and responding to customer inquiries
• Abiding by all company policies

Recommended Software Experience:

• Kroll dispensary software
• Microsoft Office
• Gmail

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle or feel tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, smell, talk and hear. The employee must lift and move up to 25kg. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
