Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Hands-On Execution

  • Lead, train, and mentor a skilled construction crew while fostering a culture rooted in safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Provide hands-on guidance across multiple trade areas including framing, drywall installation and finishing, painting, flooring, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and tile work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds company and industry standards..

Trade & Project Oversight

  • Oversee, coordinate, and schedule all sub-trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and others.
  • Review and understand all project plans, specifications, and documents with blue print.
  • Ensure all work complies with municipal codes, building standards, and safety regulations (OH&S).

Project Management

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, control expenditures, and negotiate trade invoices.
  • Source materials, manage inventory, and coordinate equipment needs.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Facilitate clear communication between clients, architects, engineers, and the internal team.
  • Professionally address and resolve any client concerns or project issues that arise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Extensive, verifiable hands-on skills in residential and/or commercial construction trades, specifically: framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and tile.
  • Proven experience managing and scheduling multiple sub-trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Gold Seal, Gantt Chart expertise, PMP, First Aid, CSTS) are considered a strong asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
