Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Securities Services Messenger
to join our Operations team in Vancouver.
Reporting to the
Team Lead
, this role is primarily responsible for processing general securities services tasks. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment, be eager to learn, be highly organized, and committed to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

General Mailroom duties

  • Open-distribute incoming mail
  • Post external mail
  • Deliver outgoing courier packages
  • Broad range of physical file management, internally and with external safety deposit boxes
  • Verify settled transactions and reconcile outstanding items
  • Crosstrain in additional functions such as stock receipts, CDS/DTCC deposits, estates, new issues, and US legend removals
  • Assist walk-in clients and manage courier drop-offs/pickups at the Client Services counter.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience in the Canadian securities industry preferred but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and.
  • Experience with CDS, DTCC and Dataphile software an asset but not required.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for helping others succeed.
