Our client, the Department of National Defence (DND), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to join a dynamic team driving digital transformation. This role is central to enhancing and optimizing critical applications that support DND personnel and processes.

You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of custom Power Platform solutions, focusing on stability, feature updates, and process optimization. This is a 36-weeks contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for data visualization and continuous monitoring.
  • Build, update, and support custom Canvas and Model-Driven Power Applications with integrated business process flows.
  • Develop and maintain Dataverse tables, relationships, and data architecture.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint, Outlook, Forms, and Teams Approvals.
  • Perform data migration, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable digital solutions.
  • Automate data workflows and reporting processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data and application-related issues promptly.

Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:

To be considered, your resume must clearly demonstrate the following within the last 4 years:

  • M1: Power Platform Development: At least 2 years of experience in software development activities on:
  • Power Platform development.
  • Custom Canvas and Model-Driven Power Applications.
  • Connecting Power Automate flows to SharePoint, Outlook, Forms, and Teams Approvals.
  • M2: Data Visualization: At least 2 years of knowledge and experience with visualization tools for continuous monitoring and reporting, such as Power BI.

Security Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for a Reliability Status security clearance. Sponsorship can be initiated upon bid submission.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $60.00-$75.00 per hour

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Power Platform development.: 3 years (required)
  • Custom Canvas and Model-Driven Power Applications.: 3 years (required)
  • Connecting flows to SharePoint, Outlook, Forms and Teams : 3 years (required)
  • Power BI: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Reliability Status at Government of Canada (required)
