Job Description:

We have partnered with a well established worldwide automotive client to recruit for an experienced PLC Technician / Instrument Technician for their steady day shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of instruments and control systems.

Expertise in electrical systems, CNC machines, logic controllers, and industrial maintenance will be essential to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the client's equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in instrumentation and control systems installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of CNC machines, logic controllers (PLC), and automation systems.
  • Experience with programming Keyence and Cognex vision systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues in instruments and control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Solid experience with industrial maintenance, including preventive maintenance practices.
  • Valid certifications such as Electrician (442A, 309A) and Instrumentation and Control Technician (447A) or equivalent education.
  • Ability to accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Physical stamina and safety awareness for working in confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and performing demanding tasks.
