We are looking for a Analytics Engineer to join our Canada Analytics team. You will support the Canadian business driving scalable analytics tooling (data assets, dashboards, visualizations, tools/services) and analytic

frameworks. You will work alongside a group of analysts to facilitate the team's success, evolving the various tools, models, and data visualizations used to drive the FanDuel Group business. This is a tremendous opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally as well as develop the analytics team's data infrastructure and visualization capabilities.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Create interactive Tableau dashboards, custom visualizations and reports to visualize customer behavior, drivers of business performance, and support strategic decision making.
  • Prioritize best practices in design, usability, and scalability to ensure sustainable and quality reporting. Communicate technical findings/insights to non-technical stakeholders to drive strategic success.

∙ Drive the team's analysis roadmap, ensuring we prioritize high-value projects with actionable insights.

  • Become a key business partner to the analytics team and stakeholders across the Canada business, supporting them in driving insights and key decision making.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure that data is accurately represented and enable richer analysis.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization, and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve our capabilities.
  • Opportunity to mentor junior analysts and engineers on day-to-day requests as well as team best practices.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years' experience in an analytics/technical role preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis preferred.
  • Strong personal organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel and Tableau or another data visualization platforms required.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, R), cloud computing platforms (e.g. Databricks), or ELT/data modeling (e.g. DBT) highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, allied with track record of transforming data into actionable business insight.
  • Experience working in groups and leading smaller intra year projects.
  • Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Ability to be independent and lead on projects - proactive thinking.
  • Interest in Fantasy Sports/Gaming/Sports a plus.
