Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
  • Assist customers in finding sizes, styles, and products
  • Operate the cash register accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor
  • Support merchandising and seasonal floor resets

Buying / Product Evaluation

  • Evaluate incoming secondhand items based on condition, safety, brand, and store guidelines
  • Determine resale value and calculate purchase offers
  • Ensure buying area is clean, organized, and efficient
  • Follow WINMARK safety, recall, and quality standards

Sorting / Processing

  • Sort incoming clothing by size, quality, and season

Tagging / Processing

  • Attach tags to individual items and ensure they are matched to the correct product
  • Organize items on the correct floor racks or shelves
  • Refill shelves and maintain fully stocked sections
  • Create backstock bins and organize them by category and season

Requirements

  • Full weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday — required)
  • Minimum 1 year retail experience
  • Secondhand store experience is a strong asset
  • Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift bins/items as needed for daily operations
