Intermediate and Senior Naval Architect (P.ENG)

Victoria, BC

3GA Marine provides engineering, project support, and consulting services to the Canadian marine industry. We're seeking an Intermediate and Senior Naval Architect to join our Victoria office.

In this role, you'll lead and deliver vessel design and refit projects—from early concepts through construction—working closely with clients and mentoring junior team members. Projects range from equipment installations to full vessel designs and refits.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical work on vessel design and refit projects
  • Manage projects and develop scopes, plans, and deliverables
  • Mentor junior and intermediate naval architects
  • Complete design, analysis, modeling, and documentation
  • Review designs for regulatory and Class compliance
  • Support vessel construction and perform onsite surveys as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Naval Architecture
  • PNEG (or eligible)
  • Intermediate Years experience in new builds and refits
  • Senior years' experience in new builds and refits
  • Experience in the BC marine industry is an asset

Key Skills

  • Strong technical writing and communication
  • Expert in GHS; working knowledge of Ship Constructor, Rhino, AutoCAD
  • Broad vessel design knowledge (hull, structures, mechanical systems)
  • Able to work independently and lead small teams

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
