About Us

Valencia Floors Distribution Ltd. is an established engineered hardwood flooring distributor based in the Greater Vancouver Area. We work directly with manufacturing partners overseas, allowing us to bring premium engineered hardwood flooring to the Canadian market at highly competitive factory-direct pricing.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding our presence into Calgary and are looking for an independent, self-driven Sales Representative to lead our regional development.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and proactive Sales Representative to build our Calgary market from the ground up. This role does not require an office—your work will primarily involve visiting flooring stores across Calgary, presenting our products, and maintaining long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit and approach local flooring retailers in the Calgary area to introduce our engineered hardwood products and pricing advantages.
  • Work to set up our product display stands in as many stores as possible throughout the region.
  • After initial setup, visit each partnered store at least once per month to maintain strong business relationships and ensure displays are kept in good condition.
  • Represent Valencia Floors with professionalism, honesty, and strong communication at all times.

Compensation

  • $20/hour base pay
  • 5% commission on pretax revenue from all sales generated by your partnered stores
  • Flexible working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00–5:00 schedule, but self-managed)

Probation & Performance Structure

This position includes a three-month probation period:

Month 1 – Market Interest Phase

  • You will be provided with price lists and chainset samples.
  • Your goal is to secure interest from at least 15 flooring stores willing to install our display stand.
  • If the target is met, we will ship display stands from Vancouver and move into full sales operations.
  • If sufficient interest is not achieved, employment will end after the first month.

Months 2–3 – Store Setup & Early Sales Phase

  • Work with stores to install display stands.
  • Begin generating sales and establishing regular monthly visits.

  • Excellent at building and maintaining business relationships
  • Comfortable managing a flexible schedule and traveling within the Calgary area
  • Not afraid to work hard and take initiative

Cheating, dishonesty, or laziness will not be tolerated.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred (flooring or building materials experience is a strong asset)
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance targets
