Allied is looking for a Property Accountant to join our CPA Pre-approved Program. At Allied, everything starts with purpose. What will you do?
- Manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties, including preparing journal entries, monthly operating costs, and tax recovery estimates.
- Review and analyze financial statements, balance sheets and recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.
- Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.
- Provide information for audit related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
- Support our Finance team in the completion of annual budget and special projects.
- Active pursuit of the CPA designation.
- University degree or equivalent.
- Strong interest in the field of commercial real estate, accounting & finance.
- An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently or under supervision.
- A collaborative worker and effective team player.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Resilience, passion and a commitment to deliver and be accountable for the results.
- Analytical and critical thinker.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset
