We are looking for a creative, motivated, and technically skilled Video Content Creator & Social Media Specialist to lead our video strategy and social media presence. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who understands how to capture the heart of a construction company story.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit compelling video content for both long-form (e.g., detailed project walkthroughs, Q&A, and educational content) and short-form (e.g., reels, TikToks, Wechat, XHS and Shorts) platforms.
  • Develop strong storytelling narratives around our projects, team, and expertise that highlight the complexity and quality of our work.
  • Ensure all video content adheres to our brand guidelines and showcases our E-E-A-T by featuring our team's credentials, certifications, and years of experience.
  • Maintain a high standard for visual and audio quality in all content.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage and post content across key platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Develop strategies to maximize engagement, virality, and reach, focusing on topics and high-intent keywords relevant to Ontario homeowners searching for renovation services.
  • Monitor trends and adapt content quickly to stay relevant.
  • Actively engage with our audience by responding to comments and messages to foster a community and build trust.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in video production, including pre-production, on-location shooting, and post-production.
  • Fluency and high proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual enhancements.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a clear understanding of social media platforms and successful examples of content designed for high engagement and virality.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities with a natural eye for composition, lighting, and pacing.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines independently.
  • Fluency in Mandarin, Chinese is bonus
