XCEED Machine Works Inc., is a leading distributor and service provider for ROOTS blowers, Gear Drives, Process Pumps and packaged equipment systems for industrial, mobile and municipal applications in Western Canada. We are currently looking for Rotating Equipment Technicians to work in our South Edmonton Repair facility. This is a challenging opportunity to work with and learn from a knowledgeable and experienced team of professional trades personnel.

Brief description below;

  • (DCI) Disassemble, clean and inspect PD blowers, gear drives, pumps and other rotating equipment.
  • Provide "As Found" written reports with recommended repair scopes and time based estimates to the sales department. Opinions on failure analysis and root cause observations are encouraged.
  • Organize and plan workload to ensure equipment is repaired and shipped on time and on schedule.
  • Working closely with our QC Inspector, assemble equipment performing quality checks as required to ensure the assembly meets OEM requirements & Customer specifications.
  • Work as part of a team assisting others or being assisted by others to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Tag, paint and package assemblies for shipment.
  • Perform other tasks as required within your skill set.

  • Ability to understand and learn new technical principles. Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, service manuals and follow detailed repair procedures. Demonstrated competence with measurement tools including Micrometers, Vernier Calipers & Dial Indicators.
  • Strong personal planning & organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with demanding schedules. Energized by challenges.
  • Ability to work in a high variation environment where there is little or no repetition.
  • A background of having worked on a wide variety of rotating equipment configurations with PD blower experience preferred.

This position will be of interest to individuals who have a solid understanding of Rotating Equipment, a wide experience set in disassembly & assembly and who also have a background in Dynamic Balancing, Machining and Welding principles.

Apprentices with a demonstrated background of hands on equipment repair and good academic performance are welcomed to apply.
