Prior experience with dementia care, hospice care, or working with people with disabilities is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients requiring assistance with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Help clients with personal hygiene routines and ensure comfort at all times
  • Follow care plans meticulously and document observations accurately for ongoing assessment

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care settings preferred
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
  • Knowledge of caregiving best practices and patient safety protocols
  • Familiarity with medication administration and basic nursing procedures is a plus
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Compassionate attitude combined with patience, reliability, and professionalism
