Job Overview

Primary responsibilities are to operate and monitor CNC

(computer numerically controlled) lathe machines, performing machining operations

such as turning, boring, threading and facing.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to set up and operate CNC Lath with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of CNC Lath manufacturing process.
  • Complete first off inspection and in process inspection as per drawing requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and identify dimensional specifications.
  • Experienced in cutting various materials.
  • Troubleshoot - CNC-related problems.
  • Knowledge of G Code essential.
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment and 3 years of experience directly related to CNC Setup and operate.
  • Knowledge of how various machine tools operate, cutting tool theory and practice, working properties of various exotic metals used in the manufacturing process.
  • Able to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
