Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a talent for grooming, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, pet-focused environment where customer service and animal care are paramount. The Pet Groomer will be responsible for providing professional grooming services, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering excellent customer experiences.

Duties

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing for pets of various breeds and sizes
  • Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
  • Handle pets gently and safely throughout the grooming process to ensure comfort and minimize stress
  • Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, equipment, and work area to meet health standards
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns
  • Manage appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
  • Assist with heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier animals to ensure safety for both pets and staff
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring satisfaction with grooming results

Experience

  • Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger animals or equipment
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and understanding of their behavioral cues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
