Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in hospital settings and a focus on pain management, pediatrics, and acute care. This role involves providing holistic osteopathic treatments, supporting patient recovery, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. The Osteopath will utilize their expertise in medical terminology, data collection, and medication administration to deliver comprehensive care across various settings, including home care and medical offices.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine osteopathic treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Perform manual therapy techniques to address musculoskeletal issues, pain, and mobility concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner.
  • Assist in data collection for research purposes aimed at improving treatment protocols and patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications when appropriate and within scope of practice, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Provide patient education on injury prevention, pain management strategies, and overall wellness.
  • Support home care services by delivering treatments in patients' homes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, progress notes, and medication administration in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Stay current with medical terminology updates and advancements in osteopathic practices through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in hospital environments or similar healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies related to osteopathy or related fields.
  • Experience in acute care, pain management, pediatrics, or home care is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles combined with excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner is preferred.
  • Ability to handle medical terminology accurately and efficiently document clinical information.
  • Prior medical office experience is advantageous for managing administrative tasks related to patient care.
  • Competence in data collection for clinical research or quality improvement projects.
  • Valid license or certification as an Osteopath or equivalent credential required. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
