Job Summary
How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for preparing and serving tea and espresso drinks to customers.
As a Barista Supervisor, you will:
  • Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner and ensure delivery of consistently outstanding service by all
  • Help to oversee dining operations and supervise the Baristas
  • Lead, train, coach and mentor the team
  • Answer guest inquiries and address concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure strict compliance with Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Programs
  • Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino
  • Maintain inventories of dairy, tea, and espresso bean supply
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
About you:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous work experience as a Barista is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Previous experience and demonstrated success with supervising associates in a food service environment
  • Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness and courtesy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong desire and ability to delight and accommodate guests
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work in high pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as Hospitality, Culinary and or Tourism, in combination with a passion for the industry
