We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer A.I. to join our AI & Knowledge team, responsible for building our conversational AI assistant (Alfie).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling innovative LLM based solutions that improves our user's experience. This role's focus will be on the backend, but ideal candidates will be able to stretch where needed as our project evolves. Our team is playing a pivotal role in transforming our product Into an A.I. first experience, we're looking for startup oriented individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment. This candidate will report to VP of Engineering, team's day to day activities are lead by our Staff Software Engineer.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain applications and services using TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and AWS in a serverless environment.
  • Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of constant learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to enhance our technology stack.

Let's Connect If You

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend and serverless architecture.
  • 1+ years of hands on experience building Agentic LLM products.
  • Experience standing up and interacting with MCP Servers
  • Experience with Python or Typescript, Postgres, and AWS (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, S3, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of LLM design patterns, observability/instrumentation, prompt enineering.
  • A lean mindset - Focus on delivering customer value by minimizing waste, optimizing workflows, fostering continuous improvement, and prioritizing quick iteration with quick feedback cycles.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a remote environment, with a team-oriented mindset.

Compensation Range: CA$140K - CA$180K
