He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder, Nicola Kilner.We are growing rapidly and we're looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with usWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are seeking aProcess Specialistto joinour Filling team at our Manufacturing Facility inEtobicoke.This is aFull-TimeOpportunity working5 Days a week, in-person.WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLEDevelop, implement, and optimize production processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principlesSupport research, design, modification, and testing of production methods and equipment to improve yield on existing processesConduct feasibility studies of new designs / processes to determine feasibility within the existing manufacturing capabilities and through supplemental automation.Develop and optimize engineering processes from inception to start-up, while ensuring that validation/qualification standards are upheld.Perform root cause analyses, troubleshooting and resolving operating problems, and deriving sustainable corrective actions in the case of process deviationsAssist with new processes / start-up of new equipment by providing adequate technical support to the Production teams and ensuring design requirements are metKeep the senior management abreast of significant issues or developments identified during process engineering activities and actions being taken handle the challengesResponsible for presenting high-level updates to the Leadership team in terms of process reliability, production targets etc.Maintain electronic equipment records, adhering to quality standards when implementing modifications (e.g., change controls, document revision version control).Perform risk assessments, managing budgets and tight deadlines, as well as providing process documentation and operating instructions as required.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONEKnowledge of equipment design, construction, operation, qualification, and maintenance.Ability to work independently on assigned projects and collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment supporting day-to-day manufacturing schedules and operations.P.Eng., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt certifications are an asset.1-2 years working experience within an engineering or processing capacityRelevant education in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field OR equivalent work experience is an asset.WHAT YOU'LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAMThere's a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
