Kamloops BC VB Y, Canada BRAVE ACADEMY Full time

About Us

Brave Academy is a coaching and mentorship company that remotely helps contractors to stop burning out, fix profit, get cashflow stable, and buy their time back. Our clients already have leads. They're just not winning the money or life game yet.

We're building the most trusted, most recognizable coaching brand in this industry, and we're doing it through organic dominance on Instagram and YouTube.

Right now, we're barely posting anything online. That changes with you.

Role Overview

This is not a "social media assistant" job. You are being hired to build a viral organic content engine that makes Brave Academy unavoidable online.

Your mission:

  • Drive daily short-form volume that grows IG + YouTube aggressively
  • Grow trust and authority in a skeptical contractor market
  • Fill our community, generate content that captures emails, and fuel discovery calls

If you want to own the whole content machine and ship at full speed, you'll love this role.

What You'll Own1) The Daily Content Machine (Volume + Consistency)

  • Publish minimum 3 posts per day across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube (TikTok supplementary).
  • Own idea → edit → caption → post → engagement without chasing owner.
  • Turn one concept into a full stack: reels/shorts + posts + Skool prompts + email snippets.
  • Keep content high-value, contractor-relevant, no gimmicks.

2) Short-Form That Actually Goes Viral

You will:

  • Cut 5 reels/shorts per week minimum (more when possible).
  • Obsess over the first 1–3 seconds (hooks), because that's what drives Shorts/Reels reach in 2025.
  • Edit for retention (fast pacing, pattern interrupts, on-screen text, tight story arcs).
  • Add clean captions + overlays (no watermark penalties, no lazy exports). IG deprioritizes watermarked cross-posts.

3) Long-Form YouTube (The Weekly Authority Piece)

  • Produce 1 long-form YouTube video per week.
  • These are the "pillar" videos we shred into dozens of shorts.
  • Your long-form style should feel like:
  • Grant Cardone Confidence
  • Mr Beast Energy + Entertainment
  • Caleb Ralston - Creative Skills

4) Long-to-Short Batching System - Every filming day produces:

  • 1-2 long-form pillar pieces
  • 10–20 short-form clips extracted from it
  • This is the proven "one big asset → weeks of content" system used by top creators.
  • Your job is to keep the pipeline full so we never "run out of content."

5) Content Series + Episodic Bingeability

  • Build repeatable series that make contractors come back daily:
  • "Burnt-Out Builder Fixes His Business"
  • "Cabinet Shop Cashflow Clinic"
  • "What Your Numbers Are Secretly Saying"
  • Instagram now supports linked Reel series, which boosts binge viewing and follow-through.
  • You will design and deploy these series like a show, not random posts.

6) In-Field Filming + Travel

  • Film with Lee 1–2 days per week locally in Kamloops (batching).
  • Edit remotely at home.
  • Travel with Lee across Canada, the US and beyond 2-4X per year.

*

  • Requirements:
  • Valid passport with no restrictions
  • Clean criminal record (We will background check with RCMP)
  • Driver's license + your own vehicle
  • Your own camera equipment + laptop capable of editing 4k content.
  • Comfortable filming off-grid / outdoors / On the road
  • Take photos

(We've got some equipment a Sony A7iii, lighting, and will expand gear over time (drones, props, more lighting as needed).

7) Idea Leadership

  • Drive 60% of content ideas.
  • Lee provides input weekly (40%).
  • You bring concepts, scripts, hooks, formats, and series angles and production plan.

8) Trust-First Brand Protection

  • We must look like legit experts, not online guru's.
  • No TikTok dances. No goofy trends. No fluff.
  • If it doesn't help a burnt-out cabinet maker/reno contractor, we don't post it.
  • Client content requires approval and releases before publishing.
  • Must capture the essence of North American culture and humor

9) Community Flywheel

  • Reply to Sm comments/DMs daily.
  • Turn engagement into:
  • Skool signups
  • email capture
  • booked calls
  • You are building a momentum loop, not just posting.

10) Simple Reporting + Testing

  • Weekly reports on:
  • volume shipped
  • top performers
  • retention patterns
  • follower + lead movement
  • what to double down on / kill
  • We test aggressively. You bring justification for experiments.

Ideal Candidate

You're a fit if you:

  • Can ship high-volume short-form without lowering quality.
  • Understand hooks + retention editing and can show proof.
  • Think like an operator who builds systems, not a "creative waiting for direction."
  • Want to film in real life, travel, and capture imperfect-but-confident takes.
  • Respect brand trust and value above everything.
  • Speak english fluently and understand North American culture

Not a fit if you:

  • Need constant direction and cant take ownership of your role.
  • Dont learn from mistakes and take action to gain new skills
  • Edit forever instead of shipping.
  • Chase trends that don't serve our ideal client.
  • Can't travel, commute or don't have basic gear.

What Success Looks Like

Weekly minimums (Depending on FT/PT):

  • 3 posts/day
  • 5 shorts/week
  • 1-2 long-form YouTube/week

Business outcomes:

  • Organic growth toward 100k following in 12 months
  • 5 discovery calls/week from organic traffic
  • Our online community funnel is filling consistently
  • Email list growing from community

  • Flexible work schedule with at home and in the field mix
