ABOUT THE ROLE

KOR Machinery is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities while specializing in manufacturing cost accounting. This role supports our production, engineering, and purchasing teams by providing accurate costing, inventory management, and financial analysis that drives operational decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Cycle Accounting:

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

  • Prepare working papers and documentation for external accountants

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing:

  • Maintain job and product costing within the manufacturing ERP system (JobBOSS/OnRamp)

  • Support inventory and WIP valuation including labour, material, and overhead allocations

  • Review bills of material (BOMs), routings, and standard costs with Engineering and Production

  • Analyze and explain cost variances including price, usage, labour efficiency, and overhead

  • Support cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Prepare management reports on job margins, cost trends, and inventory/WIP movements

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models and analytical tools

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes including manufacturing cost assumptions

  • Provide ad hoc profitability, pricing, and cost analysis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience with manufacturing exposure

  • Hands-on experience with cost accounting, job costing, inventory management, and variance analysis

  • Strong Excel skills with financial modeling experience

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing ERP experience (JobBOSS/OnRamp an asset)

  • Accounting designation (CPA, CMA) or in progress

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

WORK ARRANGEMENT

  • Part time, in-office position based in Oakville, Ontario

  • 3 days per week with flexibility

  • Additional hours may be required during month-end and year-end close periods

  • Start date: January 2026
