About the Role

The Project Director will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in the execution of renewable energy projects.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, mentor, and support Project Managers and Project Staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or business related field.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • 10 plus years Project Management experience within the renewable energy sector.
  • 3 plus years experience in Senior Project Management or Project Director role managing project teams.
  • Strong Construction industry knowledge (Safety, Cost Controls, Site Management) ideally with renewable energy projects in Canada and USA.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in project management within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Experience with permit processes and RFP processes within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
