Role Summary:
Chubb is currently recruiting a Security Service Technician based out of our Edmonton branch office. The main duties of this role are to carry out inspections and service functions on intrusion alarm systems, access control and camera systems. Overtime, on-call and shift premium work as needed.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers to identify the source of the problem of their alarm system.
- Independently perform high quality service, proper maintenance and make recommendations for improvement to the system if needed.
- Conduct testing on alarm systems to ensure that the service provided was successful.
- Inform customers on how to operate and use their alarm system in a takeover situation. In addition, educate the customers on basic knowledge of alarm system utilization.
- Complete ULC Inspections for both Fire and Intrusion systems
- Stay up to date on current alarm technology.
- Networking and programming as required.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in the electronics field or a related discipline, including at least 2 years of experience servicing alarm systems.
- Possess a valid Provincial Driver's License
- Experience and technical knowledge of security products and standards/codes
- Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
