Job Description

a. Experience with Planning Tools:

Can you describe your experience with SAP or similar planning software? How have you utilized these tools to create and manage planned and production orders?

b. Coordination and Communication:

This role requires close coordination with various teams, such as Manufacturing Supervisors and Procurement Specialists. Can you provide an example of how you effectively communicated and coordinated with different departments to meet production schedules?

c. Bottleneck Analysis:

How do you approach identifying and analyzing bottlenecks in the production process? Can you share a specific situation where you recommended corrective actions that positively impacted production efficiency?

d. Inventory Management:

What strategies do you employ to analyze inventory levels and determine replenishment and safety stock levels? How do you ensure that finished goods and work in progress (WIP) inventory is maintained at established goal levels?

e. Policy Adherence:

Following company policies and procedures is crucial in this role. Can you discuss a time when you had to ensure compliance with a particular policy or procedure while managing production schedules or material planning?


•Plans and establishes production schedules. Plans AND monitors materials inventories required to meet demand, tracks progress of production and materials needed for production, and reviews factors which affect schedules.


•Requires a Materials Management diploma and/or high school diploma with 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.


•Experience with MRP standard concepts, MS software, Scheduling practices, and procedures within a particular field. Performs a variety of tasks.


•Works under general supervision; typically reports to a GL, supervisor or manager.


•A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Job Duties include:

a) Plan, Schedule, coordinate and monitor products and materials through the complete production schedule at the Cambridge location

a. Create, release and manage Planned orders and Production Orders in SAP and various Excel schedules

b. Utilizing SAP analyse material demand to ensure supply attainment and no disruption to production

c. Dispatch Production Orders from Order Pool and perform Level Loading

d. Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisor, Group Team Leads, Procurement Specialists, QC to schedule the production activities

e. Analyze bottlenecks, compare plan and actual production performance and suggests proper corrective

f. Maintain close relationships with internal customers by providing schedule commitments, manage changes and process material releases to production on a daily basis

g. Responsible for ensuring finished goods and work in progress (WIP) inventory is controlled and maintained at the established goal levels.

h. Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine replenishment levels and safety stock.

i. Follow all company policies and procedures.
