We have opportunities engineering various aspects of CPU Power, Performance, and Limits management Firmware Development, Verification and Debug.This intern will be supporting performance management profiling and debug tool development activities for the next generation SoCs.Programming Languages:C/embedded CPythonMinimum Qualifications:Excellent programming skills in C, PythonSound knowledge of embedded development; RTOS conceptsAbility to debug, root cause, and resolve FW issues spanning multiple subsystems in an SoC.  Proven ability to own problems and drive them to a resolutionSolid understanding in Computer Architecture/microarchitecture conceptsBasic understanding of Microcontroller/Microprocessor programmingStrong problem-solving skillsEffective interpersonal communications skill (written and verbal)Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-orientedSelf-motivated, hardworking, and flexiblePreferred Qualifications:Academic experience with industry standard Architecture / system specification, SoC design, Microcontroller firmware developmentExperience in JTAG, Debug, Gitlab, and Jira all a plusEducational RequirementsIn study towards a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related fieldEligible candidates must have a graduation date in December 2027 or later, including May or June 2028.For 16-month internships: must be available May/June August/September 2027For 12-month internships: must be available May/June May/June 2027Work Location:This is a full-time, onsite position based in Markham.
