What You Will be Doing:
- Installing, calibrating, and configuring instruments, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and related equipment.
- Rebuilding all various types of valves, actuators and controllers.
- Performing loop checks, functional tests, and commissioning activities to ensure accurate system integration.
- Conducting preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations on a wide range of instruments.
- Troubleshooting and repair pneumatic, electronic, and digital control systems.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and instrument histories.
- Supporting control system upgrades, modifications, and project implementations.
- Ensuring all work complies with company, client, and regulatory safety standards.
- Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Mentoring and supporting junior technicians or apprentices in instrumentation practices.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Journeyman Instrument Mechanic certification (or equivalent trade certification).
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting (oil & gas industry experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of process measurement devices (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with pneumatic, electronic, and microprocessor-based instrumentation.
- Commitment to safety and familiarity with OSHA/industry safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
