Role Description

We are seeking an experienced
Golang Developer
for a
hybrid role based in Toronto, ON
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and a passion for creating high-quality, maintainable, and efficient software solutions. You will design and implement scalable microservices, develop RESTful APIs, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using
    Golang
    .
  • Build scalable and reliable
    microservices
    for distributed systems.
  • Utilize
    goroutines
    and
    channels
    to implement concurrent programming patterns.
  • Integrate with
    SQL and NoSQL databases
    such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and front-end teams to deliver high-performing solutions.
  • Conduct
    code reviews
    , performance tuning, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Contribute to
    architecture reviews
    , best practices, and technical documentation.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years
    of overall software development experience with
    3+ years in Golang
    .
  • Strong command of
    Golang
    language fundamentals, libraries, and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with
    microservices architecture
    and
    RESTful API design
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    concurrency
    ,
    goroutines
    , and
    channels
    .
  • Proficiency with
    SQL and NoSQL databases
    and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience using
    Git
    for version control and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of
    Golang testing frameworks
    (testing, testify, etc.).
  • Strong
    problem-solving
    ,
    debugging
    , and
    system optimization
    skills.
  • Excellent
    communication
    and
    collaboration
    abilities in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    is a plus.
