Porter – Patient Transport

DEPARTMENT:

Logistics Services

CONDITIONS:

Casual

SHIFTS:

Days / Evenings / Nights / Weekends

7.5 hours per shift

(subject to change)

WAGE RANGE:

Scale Minimum Maximum

CUPE11 $26.20/hr $28.07/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The transportation of patients, patients' charts, specimens, requisitions, clean and soiled supplies and equipment throughout the hospital.
  • Added responsibilities may include working in other areas of the department as workload requires
  • Emergency response
  • Demonstrate QCH values:collaboration, accountability, innovation, respect

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current successful N-95 mask fit testing
  • Must provide his/her own safety footwear as per Safety Policy

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of inventory products
  • Basic computer skills
