Job Summary:

Linkletter Farms is seeking a Farm Cleaner to perform various tasks on the farm, such as cleaning, washing, disinfecting, garbage removal and basic maintenance while adhering to safety protocols.

Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential for this role, as it involves handling heavy objects and working efficiently under minimal supervision. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions while contributing to a positive team environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform thorough cleaning, washing, and disinfecting of various buildings and structures within the farm facilities to maintain high standards of hygiene and biosecurity.
• Waste Management: Safely and appropriately dispose of waste, debris, and refuse.
• Maintenance Support: Assist in basic general maintenance and upkeep of buildings and structures as directed.
• Safety & Compliance: Prioritize health and safety by following all established procedures, minimizing workplace risks, and strictly complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, company policies, and food safety protocols.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Capability of standing, walking, and kneeling for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs in weight.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• A driver's abstract indicating safe and responsible vehicle operation over the past 5 years is required.
• Demonstrate strong self-motivation, initiative, and teamwork while working effectively with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 3 to 6 months.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Location: Linkletter, Prince Edward Island

Benefits and Compensation Information:

• Hours of work are dependent on production. Flexibility to work on days, evenings and Saturdays would be required.
• $ $17.50 per hour
