Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with custodial experience or a strong interest in facilities maintenance to contribute to a professional setting. The role requires reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within scheduled timeframes.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial and industrial spaces
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment to complete maintenance tasks effectively
  • Conduct facilities maintenance as needed, addressing minor repairs or reporting issues to management
  • Operate heavy lifting equipment when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of tools and materials
  • Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns regarding cleanliness
  • Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred; familiarity with facilities maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and basic facilities maintenance practices
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
