Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fabrication, and metalworking processes, with a strong focus on precision and safety. This role involves working with various materials and tools to produce high-quality components for construction, ductwork, and other industrial applications. The MIG Welder will also support related tasks such as blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and basic mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
  • Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and hand tools to shape and assemble materials
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and schematics for accurate fabrication
  • Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure proper dimensions
  • Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly processes
  • Conduct basic machining tasks as needed to prepare parts for welding or assembly
  • Support assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding within manufacturing or construction environments
  • Knowledge of TIG welding is a plus; ability to perform plasma cutting and operate press brake machines is desirable
  • Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics reading
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Experience with welding in ductwork, assembly, or related construction projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding and fabrication processes
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
