Overview

Garnet's is currently seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Winch Truck Drivers with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our company. This role involves safely operating winch trucks to load, haul and unload equipment to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a good work ethic, mechanical knowledge, a commitment to safety and the ability to work in a team environment.

Job/Position Details

  • Must pass a substance screening for drugs and alcohol
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with winch trucks
  • Ability to work out of town and over night when required
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Must supply a clean and current driving history of the last 3 years
  • Safety Certificates: CSO, H2S, First Aid

Duties

  • Safely operate commercial trucks for local and long-distance hauling of heavy equipment. (Majority of the work is local)
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ELD logs
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including automotive repair tasks when necessary
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and operate equipment safely

Skills

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience in equipment transportation and commercial driving
  • Basic automotive repair knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to oilfield industry
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
  • Able to read, understand and follow company & DOT safety procedures & policies
  • Able to complete a legible bill of lading and with the necessary information
