Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and rehabilitation, with a focus on improving physical function and mobility. This role involves working closely with patients, analyzing their needs, and developing personalized treatment plans to enhance their quality of life. The Kinesiologist will also be responsible for case management and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding treatment goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care using computerized systems.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and families about injury prevention and health promotion strategies.
  • Utilize software applications such as Excel and Word for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in pediatrics or working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
  • Proficiency in using office software including Excel and Word for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of case management principles within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of kinesiology.
