Role Description
This position is located in Thunder Bay, ON and surrounding area, for a Dump Truck Driver. The Dump Truck Driver will be responsible for operating and driving dump trucks for commercial and residential construction projects. Daily tasks involve loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials safely, monitoring vehicle performance, and adhering to all applicable DOT regulations. Drivers must ensure timely delivery and compliance with workplace safety policies.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid DZ Class license
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks
- Ability to load, unload, and transport materials safely
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Understanding of truck maintenance principles and vehicle safety practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively
- Physical ability to perform tasks related to construction and driving
- Experience in construction or a related field is a plus
The ideal candidate will hold the appropriate DZ licence with air brake endorsement, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, and be available to work weekends and night shifts for snow hauling during the winter season.
