Description
Background Information

• The Sr. Project Manager will work with various teams within Ontario Health and with its external partners, clients, and vendors to ensure that Critical Care Services Ontario (CCSO) transition project is delivered in a timely and efficient manner with the highest level of quality. This involves transitioning all products and services being support by UHN and an external vendor to Ontario Health. Other projects outside of the CCSO transition may also be assigned as required, supporting the Digital Excellence portfolio and Data/Analytic teams. Large scale complex assignments should be expected and may lack clarity of goals and strategy.
• The Sr. Project Manager utilizes their education and experience to define options on the approach to take. The Sr. Project Manager will collaborate with senior management and sponsors to bring clarity to the goals to the extent possible and identify strategies for successful delivery. The Sr. Project Manager should be comfortable working within an ambiguous environment where change is constant and, with input from team members and SMEs (Subject Matter Expert), can effectively manage the delivery of the following project.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for on time, on budget, and on scope completion of assigned projects that are compliant with applicable external legislation and internal policies and processes including project governance framework and project management methodology, and provide feedback for continuous improvement as requested
• Responsible for managing the resources, scope, budget, schedule, and quality of deliverables of the assigned projects
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationship and effective communication with the sponsor(s), internal and external partners, vendors and project team members
• Organize and lead project meetings
• Ensure effective project change control, including managing IT Requests for Change (RFCs) and deployments to the various environments, is in place
• Proactively identify and manage risks, and systematically resolve or escalate known issues
• Adhere to and promote Ontario Health policies and processes including Privacy, Security, and Record Management
• Manage release of the product/project/work package to an operational environment

• IT Infrastructure and ITIL experience is an asset
• DevOps expertise is an asset
• Knowledge/expertise of current technology trends is an asset

• Technical knowledge/expertise gained through work experience as a developer, or an architect is an asset

Required Skills

• 10+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale technology initiatives and complex IT solutions in a highly integrated setting

Deliverables
Deliverables Include, but are not limited to:

• Develop project documentation including charter, integrated project plan, project schedule, status reports, meeting notes and other project artifacts as required
• Issue project change requests (PCRs) as applicable in response to changes in scope, schedule, budget, and release strategy (for multi-release projects)
• Provide financial forecasts and track actual costs against the approved budget

Assignment Type:
This position is currently listed as "Hybrid". The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.

Term:
The term of this Engagement Assignment is 252 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 125 days at Ontario Health's discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at Ontario Health's discretion.

The resource will comply with Ontario Health policies and procedures.

Ontario Health systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Ontario Health assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from Ontario Health.

Location: Up to 2 days onsite (subject to HM's discretion)
