IT Architect - Oracle ERP + EPM Cloud (Contract Position)

Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 12 months initial contract

Location: Toronto, ON, CA

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid role, 2-3d/w onsite in Toronto, 7hr/d billing, no exceptions

Roles and responsibilities:

Lead software and technology projects by working closely with BAs in collecting business and system requirements. Developing the architecture blueprints in close collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects and project team members. Assist development team in implementation of proposed solution. Work with project managers by providing high level estimates. Designing and documenting detail solution design for application integrations

Prepare future state roadmaps for systems and technology stacks, with the practice of technical leadership. Propose development standard and best software engineering practices.

Collaborate with a talented, diverse and open-minded group of individuals/stakeholders across multiple Business and IT teams. Carry out a permanent technological watch. Act as a technology leader to collaborate between multiple portfolio teams for program level projects

Provide impact assessment and estimations for projects and change requests.

Work with IT BAs to identify any gaps in business & functional requirements.

Provide solutions to meet business requirements.

Contribute to the development of technology roadmap, ensuring consistency and architectural quality

Provide technical leadership and support to development teams.

Creating detail design documents for inbound and outbound integrations

Ensure that solutions are compliant with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Ensure consistency with the technological vision and enterprise architectural design roadmap.

Collaborate and share with other architects in the company to define and implement best practices.

Maintain and update the architecture documentation.

Perform POCs on tools and provide recommendations to solve specific business needs.

Conduct root cause analysis of issues and bottlenecks.

Make recommendations and participate in improving development and system maintenance processes.

Maintain a strong business focus with an understanding of the current and strategic direction of Intact technologies.

Effectively manage relationships and expectations across all management levels.

Required Skills/Experience

Must have skills/experience/qualifications:

8-10 years of software design and development experience.

3-5 years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle ERP and EPM Cloud.

Hands on experience with Oracle REST/SOAP APIs for data integration and implementing complex integrations

Good understanding of Oracle ERP Cloud tables and FBDI templates (Financial modules)

Experience working with enterprise/solution architects, Business and IT BAs, and SMEs.

Experience working in both agile and waterfall frameworks.

Experience in Solution Architecture Practices:

Creating Impact Assessments, Observation Briefs, updating roadmaps, identifying patterns, following enterprise standards, building architecture and data flows diagrams.

Experience of participating in a full lifecycle implementations of ERP projects.

Experience Working with Data:

Ability to understand end to end data flow.

Capable of identifying various data elements, the originating systems, data transformation, target systems, consumption points e.g. report etc.

Expertise in creating data flow diagrams and to comprehend existing ones.

Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting.

Experience with Integration Middleware:

Experience working with integration middleware like IICS CAI or MuleSoft etc.

Experience working with database, SQL language, ETL tools, and reporting packages.

Understanding of data conversion and system integrations with ERP modules.

High level working knowledge of multiple complex software, various hardware platforms, network architectures, and security best practices.

Architects' Skills:

Ability to work with high level requirements and to make architect decisions with limited information in hand.

Understand business requirements, identify gaps, provide solutions, to lead technical design sessions.

Capable of interacting effectively with business partners to understand their business processes, needs and solutions.

Capable of guiding a team through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, high level solutioning, development, testing, implementation and warranty support.

Good knowledge of cloud technologies and development and architecture best practices to deliver on different public clouds

Strong understanding of data protection principles and knowledge on different cryptographic mechanisms, to ensure data is protected and securely transferred from the source to target systems.

Strong knowledge of the various Observability and Monitoring, and security and incident monitoring requirements in an enterprise.

Excellent knowledge of Software and Enterprise Design Patterns.

Expected Knowledge/Qualification Level:

Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent relevant experience

Understanding of the GL, AR, AP and CM modules.

Understanding of the Planning and Budget modules.

Understanding of common technology stack including middleware application, ETL process, web services, SFTP

Understanding of cloud applications and their integrations with on-premise systems.

Good to Have Experience/Knowledge:

Experience working in insurance industry.

Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Oracle EPM, Apex, FDI.

SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.

Performance tuning experience of database objects and programs.
