Your role as a Zacks Assistant Manager is to assist in the effective managing of people, product and productivity to create an efficient store environment in order to maximize productivity and profitability. The Assistant Manager supports the Manager in directing, motivating and inspiring the team to create and maintain a positive working and shopping environment.

People Management

· Ensure all customers feel welcome in the store and receive exceptional customer service

· Assist in the recruitment and hiring of associates

· Assist in the orientation and training of associates

· Maintain a high profile on the sales floor and provide coaching and feedback to associates on a daily/weekly basis

· Assist in the identification of training and development needs

· Support and reinforce positive team behaviours

· Communicate and celebrate team and individual results daily/weekly/monthly

· Address and resolve all customer/associate concerns effectively and efficiently

· Ensure all team members' personal appearance and grooming reflect the Zacks image

· Conducts all discussions with customers, team and peers professionally

· Ensure the team adheres to loss prevention policies

· Keep the manager informed on all aspects of team and store

Productivity Management

· Assist in the efficient management of the stores operations to meet or exceed store and associate sales budget, store and associate UPT, AVG and SPH objectives

· Ensure shipments are received accurately and efficiently

· Ensure all markdowns, merchandise receipts and inter-store transfers are completed accurately and timely

· Ensure timely and effective execution of all visual merchandising

· Ensure that the store and backroom are clean and well maintained

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
