Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Labourer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, supporting various landscaping and horticultural projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically capable, and possess a passion for outdoor work and landscape improvement.

Duties

  • Assist with lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming using hand tools and power equipment
  • Perform landscape maintenance such as planting, pruning, and tree care including tree trimming and arborist support
  • Operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment for site preparation and hardscape installation
  • Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper setup, repair, and seasonal adjustments
  • Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access to properties
  • Assist with gardening activities including soil preparation, planting, mulching, and horticultural tasks
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely for various landscaping projects
  • Support the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
  • Perform general site maintenance to ensure safety and cleanliness

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools
  • Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators
  • Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care practices
  • Ability to operate equipment related to snow plowing and irrigation systems
  • Strong understanding of landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree care
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods
  • Good teamwork skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work who are eager to develop their skills in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or related fields. Prior experience with landscaping equipment or construction is a plus but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.95-$28.87 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
